Orlando, Florida- Orlando's 1st Plus Size Pole Dance Competition

Orlando, Fl.– On November 4, 2011 Club Deluptous BBW plans to launch the first Plus Size Pole Dance competition here in Central Florida. This competition is designed for the Full Figured/Plus Size females to compete, and exhibit their real, and raw, talents specializing in the art of pole dance. Every year within America thousands of women who have studied the art of pole dance, dance, and theatrical performance enter into similar competitions which only focus on the slender and petite females. However, there have been no competitions that we are aware of here in Florida, or Central Florida specifically, which cater to the Plus Sized females.

The central focus of this competition is to support, praise, and reward those females who have broken the mold that society has placed around this form of dance; and shatter the stereotype claiming that this art form, and what some also consider a sport, cannot be accomplished by larger women. This art form which takes incredible strength, agility, and concentration can, and is being mastered by many more plus size females than what is realized. Club Deluptous BBW hopes to send a positive and encouraging message to many females within Central Florida, to not be discouraged because of your weight. We want those who have worked hard to educate themselves of this magnificent form of dance to know that there is an environment where true plus size acceptance exists.


Club Deluptous BBW will be sponsoring this event beginning Friday November 4th at their venue, the Bikkuri Lounge, with twelve contestants. All contestants are required to meet specific criteria including weight preference between 175-300 pounds. Four finalists will be chosen to proceed to the finals scheduled for Friday March 2, 2012, where two winners will be chosen by an official judge’s panel. The Grand Prize will consist of $500.00 cash along with crown, trophy, and reigning title of “Miss. Plus Size Pole Dancer 2012.” Second place will be awarded a $250.00 cash prize including other gifts which will be sponsored.
