Private Pole Dancing Lessons:
A Sure Fire Cure For Shy Girls!

OK, maybe they're not a guaranteed cure for shyness, but private pole dancing lessons can be a great option for some women who are looking to learn to pole dance. Particularly if you're shy or uncomfortable in groups, a private class or two might just be the perfect solution for you.

Many women even find private lessons a nice bridge into group pole dancing classes.

Once you've gained some confidence and experience as a result of a few private lessons, you'll probably feel more comfortable switching into a group pole class.

Some other benefits of private pole dancing lessons include:

  • the ability to schedule lessons at a time that's convenient for you
  • if you're also taking a group pole dancing class, you can catch up on missed material from your regular class, and/or get extra help with difficult moves
  • you get a custom designed pole dancing class that addresses your specific needs, and you'll have the instructor's full attention for the duration
  • you can often cover several weeks' worth of material in a one hour private pole dance lesson, which is great for those who want to make a lot of progress in a short period of time.

Are there any disadvantages to private pole dancing lessons?

Well, cost is certainly one factor. One on one time with an instructor is always more expensive than shared time. However, remember that you'll also be able to cover a LOT more in a one hour private lesson than you would in a group class, which usually makes private pole classes very worthwhile.

The other major disadvantage with private lessons is that you won't have the support and feedback of other women who are sharing your pole dancing journey. Now if you're the super shy type you may be asking yourself how this could possibly be a disadvantage!

But trust me on this one, I've seen it happen over and over again. Until you've experienced it, it's hard to imagine what a room full of women cheering, clapping and shouting encouragement can do for you the first time you pull off a move you never thought you could.

Imagine the feeling of knowing that every woman in the class believes in you, is rooting for you, and is ready to celebrate with you when you finally do it. There's nothing like a group pole dancing class to generate that kind of energy!

Nevertheless, if you're nervous, shy, lack confidence, or are worried about whether you're fit enough to join a group class, private pole dance lessons may well be the way to go, at least for now.
