Salsa Pole DVD/CD Set - $24 - See Below For Ordering Info

Salsa Pole - Basic Info

This is a 2 disc set, one DVD and one music CD. The moves on this DVD are suitable for true beginners.

There is one spin, and the rest of the moves are all "ground-based" moves that are based in Salsa dance steps. This DVD has a real "dancey" feel to it and would suit women looking for a simple choreography they can learn and practice for fun and fitness.

ORDERING INFO:

Salsa Pole is now out of production, but we have been lucky enough to obtain a very few last copies. The clearance price for this two disc set is just $24.

From the DVD cover:

Salsa Pole takes some basic moves of Salsa and Pole dancing and combines them to give Pole dancing a real Latin American flair.

The moves are easy to learn, incredibly fun and once you get the music in your veins you will want to continue for hours and hours.

Fun!
by: Shannon

I just got a used copy of this on ebay. At first I thought it was kinda strange combining salsa and pole, but it was pretty fun. Easy moves, but fun to learn a dance routine.

If you like the dance part of pole dance you might like this. Only one spin, not a hard one, probably a good DVD for beginners. People who are looking for harder stuff will probably be bored with it though.

Fun dance routine
by: Angela

I liked this DVD but I'm not a pro dancer or anything.

What I liked was that it was a fun routine that wasn't too hard to learn. I'm not that fit and most of the pole dancing DVDs frustrate me because I can't do all those tricks they teach.

I guess compared to some other pole DVDs this one is more for beginners, it teaches a simple dance routine instead of a bunch of tricks. I liked learning the moves and the dance, but I can see how the other poster might have found it too easy if she's a dancer already. I'm not, so it was good for me.

And I liked that the instructor in the DVD is showing two students who are obviously not dancers either. I felt like I wasn't the only klutz in the room! She breaks down each move/dance step and I was able to get most of them on the first go through.

Plus the bonus music CD was a nice touch. Maybe it's not real salsa music (I wouldn't know) but I thought it was great just to listen to or dance to, very lively and upbeat.

For what I paid I thought the DVD was worth it.

Salsa Pole
by: Sissel, Denmark

I do both salsa and pole at intermediate/advanced level so I know a bit about both.

Don't mean to be Ms. Negativity, but this DVD is really bad at both!! The salsa part is not fluent, the musicality that defines salsa is not present and the moves are not exiting.

The pole part is very basic and not anything to write about.

This DVD could have been an amazing mix of two fantastic dance styles - but it's really rather boring. Maybe if you have never ever danced anything at all, you can find this DVD great. But if you have danced for a while - don't buy it, it's not worth the money.

Sorry about the bad comment...
