How did that work for you?
If you're still not having any luck finding any South Carolina pole dancing studios near you, it might just mean that there aren't yet any studios in your area. If that's the case, you may be interested to find out how you can learn to pole dance in other ways.

Many people don't realize that there are alternatives to taking classes at a studio. As long as you have a pole dancing pole at home, there are plenty of ways that you can teach yourself. Check out these dance pole reviews to start researching which ones would be best for you.

Once you've got that handled, it's just a matter of personal preference as to which method(s) would work best for you. Here are a few popular choices:

Online pole dancing lessons - these are so handy to use since they're totally portable. You can watch and practice your lessons anywhere that you can take a portable device. Let your smartphone teach you...cool!

They're also very inexpensive, and well worth the money since you'll have access to a huge variety of lessons and can progress as slow or as fast as you like, all the way up to advanced moves and tricks.

Pole dance DVDs - another popular choice, with a huge variety now available. These range from DVDs that focus specifically on pole dancing fitness, to complete instructional sets covering the full range of moves and tricks. Two excellent 5 DVD sets from top dancers are Jamilla Deville's The Art of Pole and Felix Cane's Pole Mastery Series. Both are highly recommended!

Pole dancing manual - many people find this a very useful tool, either to supplement their other learning methods, or even on its own. Inexpensive, portable, and easy to use, this particular manual has the specific advantage of being an instant download...no waiting for it to arrive in the mail!

Also, once you print it off, I suggest you keep the pages in a binder. When you're working on a specific move, you can remove just that page so you can tape it to the wall where you can see it easily while you practice.

So you see? There are lots of options open to you even if you don't have a studio near you. I hope you have fun, whichever method you choose!
