This studio is definitely the #1 pole fitness studio in the Carolina's! I, unfortunately have been driving out of town and out of my way to attend a pole dance studio that consists of 6 week series and beginner, intermediate, & advanced levels...which I thought was good until a friend of mine told me about Xtreme Pole Fitness. I must admit, I was skeptical because I was already attending a studio & had the big head, as if I knew it all & my current studio had it going on.

Well, to my surprise, after attending just a level 2 class at Xtreme Pole Fitness...I knew nothing! I hadn't even been taught the basic spins, how to be graceful or sexy, or even how to build strength. These ladies ran circles around me & frankly, I felt bad, but the staff assured me that they would help me get back on track. I also appreciate their professionalism. I know that they knew I had not been properly taught, but they didn't say one negative thing about me or the studio...VERY CLASSY!

All of the staff are extremely talented & skilled, fitness/dance educated, and pleasant. And OMG...Shauna is the sexiest pole dancer I have ever seen, & trust me...being a youtube rat I have definitely seen a lot of dancers.

This studio has so much to offer & I wish them so much success & growth. I have definitely found a new pole home!

In the owners defense

I have been a loyal customer for over 3 years and this studio and its owner are awesome. Yes, the studio is growing, which is a sign that the majority of things that are being done are being done right.

Yes, the owner is extremely busy, but you would be too if you ran everything yourself. For a long time the owner instructed all of the classes herself and within the pasy year hired a staff to assist her. And don't talk about having a stable person to run the office...they were all a joke, which is not the owner's fault. So, in her defense, I must say that with all of the running, running 3 businesses by herself, being a single mother and lack of trust in someone running her business...she's doing quite well.

Wonderful Classes but extremely poor customer service

The classes are great but I am not at all satisfied with the customer service or the manner in which this studio conducts business.

When I initially went to pay for my classes the owner was almost an hour late to meet me. I had to call her and remind her of our scheduled meeting.

Communication to the customer is also lacking. I was told that I would receive an email with details about the classes and schedules and that never happened. I made a payment to the studio and I was never issued a receipt. I understand that the business is growing but customer service is Essential and I really hope that they make an effort to improve in this area.

The actual class is awesome! The owner and the teachers are warm, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable.

Please know what you're talking about

This is to the anonymous writer whose probably a competitor taking cheap shots...please know the facts before you post ignorance. Xtreme Pole Fitness sent out emails and newsletters to all members about the opening date of the Greenville location being postponed due to the company having to get a bigger building to facilitate all the members in the Spartanburg area. The only reason the Greenville location still appears as a listing is because its listed in the phone book and of course, you can't just remove it.

And as far as the location that you went to with the big Xtreme Pole Fitness sign...it's the highly anticipated new location not the current location...know your facts and maybe you should have checked the address b/c it's definitely not 462 Oak Grove Rd...which is where you would have come if you really were a person trying to schedule a class series. And the website is under construction b/c their improving it to better service members and the pole community...new building...new website. That was also in the newsletter but you're not a member so you wouldn't know. I've been a member for over 2 years and I really find it quite ridiculous that people would go to such great lengths to sabotage a reputable business...this is so sad.

It's amazing, out of the hundreds of women that I have shared and share class with (which couldn't be possible if no one answers the phone)...NO ONE else seems to have an issue getting in contact with any of the staff...hmmmm!

Studio Status Update

On July 1, 2010, Pole Dancing For Fitness contacted this studio by telephone at the number listed above, to inquire into their status.

Our phone call was answered by a live person and a class was obviously in progress at the time. We were told their website is currently down but they will have a new site up in the near future.

We suggest phoning ahead with any inquiries, at least until such time as their website is back up. If www.opcdance.com is showing as the website in the above listing, it has not yet been updated. If you see a different website address listed above, you should once again be able to contact this studio directly.

This is ridiculous. There is two address listings 1208 Lauren's rd Greenville SC and 462 oak grove rd. Guess what? 1208 Lauren's rd is vacant. No sign no nothing. There is no answer at the oak grove rd spartanburg SC location. And there is another location at blackstock rd in spartanburg. That one has a giant Extreme pole fitness sign and hours on the door 11 to 5. I showed up at 4:00. Big surprise nobody there either. That location is vacant also except a cheap plastic desk. Get your crap together people. They don't answer their phones either because they are soooooooo busy. Yeah good luck with that. You are better off going to Platinum Plus gentlemans club and paying a stripper to teach you. By the way their website is down also. But don't worry they have a MySpace page that contains no information on where they are located.

Shauna, I know you're going to fuss because I never leave my name, but you know who it is...your favorite pole vixen! I've been poling with you for almost 2 years now, and I have to let everyone know how blessed & talented you are. You give everyone hope and encouragement to succeed at everything they do, and that takes a very special person.

It is an honor to be a part of On Pointe Dance...I can remember when you were recovering from your knee injury and feared that you would never properly walk again, but you kept the faith and inspired all of us, even when you were unsure of your own outcome. I appreciate all of the long hours you put in, away from home and your family, I know it must get hard sometimes. But, I just want to say that on behalf of our whole class, we appreciate you and all that you have done and do for us and women as a whole. You're our pole model, our local celebrity, and all of that good stuff. I mean really, who in the Upstate can say their dance instructor has been in music videos, and performed for...HELL everybody! We love you & I can't wait to see your success with all of your new ventures. You've been the best at what you do all your life & your star quality will continue to shine.

Hi, my name is Lisa and I wish a facility where I lived offered these amazing classes! Your dance troupe...the Vertical Vixens, just held a workshop that one of my friends attended. She is still raving about how entertaining you ladies are. I visited your website and you ladies are awesome. Hi Shauna and XPF family. I just want to thank you for an awesome experience. I remember the first time I saw pole fitness on tv...I was shocked and excited all at the same time and had to find a class that I could take. I truly thought that I was going to have to travel to Atlanta or Charllotte to take class but to my suprise after a few internet searches you guys popped up. I was absolutely tickled.

I came in expecting to just get a fun workout but you gave me my inner diva back and for that I am truly grateful. I now look in the mirror and love the woman who looks back at me. My husband loves my new found confidence and anticipates my return home from class so I can show him what I learned. LOL! Keep up the great work, you guys are the best.
